Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which websites can use to remember information in your browser.

Quota uses these technologies to keep you signed in, remember a few interface preferences, and measure how the site is used. Quotes, customers, and projects are stored in your account.

2. How Quota Uses Them

Essential authentication cookies. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets cookies so the Service can recognize your session and protect account routes. These cookies are required for the product to work. If you block them, you will not be able to stay signed in.

Preference cookies. The dashboard may store a sidebar_state cookie so the navigation stays open or collapsed. This cookie is not used for advertising.

Analytics. In production, we load Vercel Analytics to understand page views and usage. Vercel Analytics is designed to operate without advertising cookies and without collecting data to show you third-party ads.

We do not use advertising networks, social-media tracking pixels, or cross-site marketing cookies.

3. Local Storage

Quota also uses browser local storage, which is not a cookie but is a similar technology:

  • A working copy of quotes, customers, projects, and company settings after you sign in
  • A cached account identifier used to scope that copy
  • Subscription status cached for display
  • Whether you dismissed the cookie notice

The account copy is the record that follows you to another browser. Clearing cookies or site data removes the copy on that device only.

4. Managing Preferences

You can dismiss the cookie notice on public pages. That choice is remembered in local storage on that browser.

You can also control cookies in your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies for this site. Blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent sign-in.

Quota does not currently offer a separate cookie category picker because we do not use optional advertising cookies. Production analytics can be limited with browser settings or blockers.

For more detail on how we handle personal information, see the Privacy Policy.

5. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies or similar technologies changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
